I’m often being asked what I am listening to so periodically I’m going share on these pages a few details into my music tastes and whats floating my boat. I’m not going to get into reviewing every album but I might make a few comments…. if anyone is even interested?
I still find it hard not to buy Cd’s, something about owning a physical item rather than a virtual mp3 file somewhere in the zeros and ones of the computer/ipod. I spend most of my days on Spotify or listening to 6music
This months Cd’s are
- Midlake – Courage of Others (if you like these guys check out the previous album which I think I prefer, The Trials of Van Occupanther)
- Hot Chip – One Life Stand
- Vampire Weekend – Contra (you can hear a lot of Paul Simon’s Graceland in here)
- Delphic – Acolyte (fantastic album!!!)
- Friendly Fires (local band that have produced a great first album… will be doing the festival circuit this year)
There is a technically beautiful java file which produces a rather artistic daily mouse path, describing it doesn’t really do it justice, take a look at todays masterpiece then go and get it for yourself. Written by Anatoly Zenkov his java applet can be found here: dl.dropbox.com/u/684632/mousepath.exe.zip (PC) or dl.dropbox.com/u/684632/mousepath.jar (Mac). Run it and leave in background. “S” – save image. “R” – restart. Mac version with 1:1 scale of output dl.dropbox.com/u/684632/MousePath1×1.jar

Well its got to start somewhere…. I read alot… I mean a hell of alot!! and where’s the point in finding all this stuff without sharing it. You may have no interest in what I post here then again you might find something that will spark your own imagination. Im not sure how often I will be updating these pages but I will do my best to do it daily, although this might slip (nothing like admitting defeat before I start).
